- Are you disgusted with the hold ups that has plagued the Hospital because it was being held for the Meraux foundation housing project for the past two years while the public fought diligently to have it built?
- Did you wonder why Mr. Taffaro fought so hard against Our Lady of the Lake and anyone else who tried to build a hospital?
- Do you feel we did not have a fair bidding for our hospital? Did you know that Oshner, Mr. Taffaro and the Meraux Foundation were not only in deep together but had a plan the entire time to bring in section 8 housing onto the hospital property so that the state would pick up $0.90 on every indigent dollar spent at this hospital?
- Did you understand that being an Oshner hospital meant for insured paying customers that you would be merely stabilized and sent to another Oshner establishment for hospital care?
- While the 40 promised beds would be reserved for the housing development people because they were considered quick cash?
- Did you know the state covers the rest with those Medicare card carriers charges left unpaid ?
- Did we really need a charity hospital here? Was charity a big financial boost to N.O.?
- What about our crime rate?
- Do you think there should have been fair open bidding for this?
- Are you frustrated with the section 8 complexes that will accompany the hospital?
If anyone thinks there has not been fair open bidding or questions the frequent executive sessions, this should be investigated thoroughly, now, starting with letters to the State and Federal Attorney Generals Offices.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you are implying that the uninsured will be properly cared for in the St Bernard Rural Hospital while the insured will be transported to another hospital. would you be able to clarify? wouldnt there be equal access to quality healthcare
